Mark Pettersen, owner of Pettersen Motorsports, contacted the Chico Police Department requesting to conduct a fund raiser for the Police K9 Unit.
On Saturday, August 27th, 2011 at noon, the event will take place at Pettersen Motorsports, 2961 Highway 32, Chico. (Gasoline Alley Industrial Park.) Mark Pettersen and members of the Chico Police K9 Unit will be present for the community to meet. This event will include a car show and BBQ.
Donations to the K9 Unit will be utilized to replace and train Police K9s and their police officer partners, as well as purchase Police K9 equipment. Donations can also be made on-line by visiting the North Valley Community Foundation, www.nvcf.org. Donations are tax exempt.
