Jeffrey Shane Wood
On Tuesday, August 16th, 2011, at approximately 8:38 a.m., Redding Police investigators observed wanted parolee Jeffrey Shane Wood, 40 years old, of Redding, walking northbound across Wilson Avenue near the Shasta View Drive intersection. Investigators attempted to detain Wood, who subsequently ran from them northbound through several yards while jumping fences. He was able to elude capture for approximately 2 hours.
At approximately 10:54 hours (10:54 a.m.), officers were advised a suspicious male had approached residents near the intersection of Belladonna Street and Boneset Street. Officer Ellis and his K-9 partner were in the area and saw Wood run southbound from Boneset Street across Hawn Avenue. After approximately 45 minutes, with the assistance of the CHP helicopter and CDCR Special Service Unit (SSU), Wood was located hiding in the bushes in front of an apartment building in the 2700 block of Hawn Avenue.
Defendant Wood was arrested and booked into Shasta County Jail on suspicion of parole violation and resisting arrest.
