Tippin, who also is the City’s Personnel Director, will oversee REU operations while the City recruits for a permanent Director to replace Hauser. City Personnel Manager Sheri DeMaagd will assume the Personnel Director duties during that time. Recruitment for the REU Director position will begin as soon as is practical, Starman said.
Tippin joined the City in 2004 as City Engineer after serving with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for 13 years. He was appointed Assistant City Manager in February 2008.
Hauser will become General Manager of the Trinity Public Utilities District on September 6.
