The Siskiyou County Veterans Services Office would also like to announce that it will be conducting Veterans Outreach throughout the fair in conjunction with the Mobile Vet Center out of Eureka. They will be located on the midway at the fair next to the information booth. The Mobile Vet Center and the Siskiyou County Veterans Service Officer Tim Grenvik will be there to answer questions and provide information and assistance to all Veterans and/or their family members. Veterans are encouraged to stop by and ask questions regarding the VA benefits and services they may be entitled to.
Sheriff Lopey stated, “This is a great opportunity for all veterans to access and obtain the benefits that they earned courageously serving this great country. Often times, veterans or family members are not aware or do not gain access to the full range of benefits available to them as a result of their military service. As a combat veteran, I would like to personally encourage all of my fellow veterans to take advantage of this opportunity.”
