Percussion Concert Makes Music on Marimba, Tin Can, Bucket

Cost: $8 General, $6 Student/Senior

Shasta College is pleased to announce a percussion concert on Saturday, July 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Shasta College Theatre in Redding. The concert will feature guest artists Terry Longshore, Dwayne Corbin, and Caryn Corbin. Several student percussion ensembles will also perform as the culmination of the weeklong Shasta Percussion Workshop. A wide variety of percussion music will be featured, from solo works to pieces including up to 20 musicians playing everything from marimbas to drums, tin cans and buckets.

Admission is $8 general admission and $6 student/senior. Tickets will be available at the Shasta College Theatre Box Office, which opens one hour before the performance.

This concert and the workshop are underwritten, in part, through grants from the Shasta College Foundation and the Shasta Regional Community Foundation.
