Redding residents are reminded that City Hall will be closed to the public every other Friday, beginning this Friday (July 1).
Employees who work at City Hall and the Recreation Center on Parkview Avenue will be furloughed, saving the City approximately $900,000. The closures will affect all departments within City Hall, including the Utility Customer Service Center.
A complete list of the Friday furlough dates through 2011 is available on the City’s web site at cityofredding.info. Reminders also will be placed in the monthly Redding Connects utility newsletter. Utility customers who plan to pay their bill on a Friday furlough day still will be able to remit payments through a drop box in front of City Hall.
