Bellydance Extravaganza is an annual professional bellydance stage production produced by Deeta Pasero and Modern Gypsy Dance Company. This year Modern Gypsy Dance Company is bringing something new to the table with a theatrical bellydance piece. Fifteen dancers will take you on a journey to ancient Egypt to embrace the passion that is Cleopatra. Don’t miss this never before seen choreography, featuring fabulous feather fans, dangerous swords and swirling veils.

The 2011 Bellydance Extravaganza will feature performances by: Unmata of Sacramento, Namira of Tahoe, Circus Tribal of Ashland, Tabitha and Raks A’Diva of San Francisco, Wildcard Bellydance of Santa Rosa, Redding’s own Modern Gypsy and many more.

Tickets are $15 when purchased in advance or $20 at the door. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., show starts at 6 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are available online at or in person at Village Cycle on Bechelli Lane.

Circus Tribal and Modern Gypsy team up for Unmata’s Blood Moon Regale in 2010.
