Milky Way, after it has been in the refrigerator for a while. OOH! I picked just one!

Chocolate Charleston Chew. Maybe because they are so hard to find these days. You don't find them just anywhere so when you do see one, it's a particular thrill.

Not sure if it qualifies, but Ice Cubes. They are small and in blue wrappers. If that is not a candy bar then it would be Chunky and I don't think they make those anymore!

    • Ann, I love Ice Cubes, too. (I think they contain hazelnut flavoring.) They melt so easily that they're often found in stores' refrigerator cases. A few years ago I bought some at J's Market in Old Shasta.

Everyone who's ever met me knows I don't do "over-the-counter" chocolate…just the strong stuff for me, please, like Scharffen Berger or Valrhona. However, if PRESSED, I'll eat Junior Mints…something about the creamy mint goo and the shell of dark chocolate melting in your mouth takes me back to my childhood.

    BTW, Troy, what's your fave?

  11. Avatar Beth says:

I can't believe nobody said Snickers. Frozen. Oh my.

As a kid, I loved a bar called Seven-Up, which was sort of like your personal little box of chocolates: seven centers connected in one bar. Don't know if they're still made, but I loved them.

    Almond Joy – Indescribably Delicious

  14. In the 1950's a candy truck used to drive around our neighborhood, much like an ice cream truck. My favorite was their candy necklaces in assorted flavors. Of course I also liked Big Hunk and Look bars. I imagine my parents put our dentists kids through college from us eating any kind of taffy.
