Wings of Angels is dedicated to children with cancer and serious illness. Founded in May 2002 honoring the courage of their 9-year-old, Alyssa, who died shortly after her 9th birthday from a five-year battle with cancer.
Wings is committed to aiding North State families who are required to travel for medical treatment out of our area and provides unique support to families in ways other organizations do not.
Since October 2002, Wings has assisted more than 60 families and donated more than $250,000 to support paying utility/gas bills, vehicle repairs, tires, gasoline cards, bus tickets, telephone cards, grocery cards, and memorial services. Wings provides both financial and emotional support to the growing number of families in our area with seriously ill children.
