I love these photos we get from the Shasta Historical Society, but the latest one has a little something extra. Look at the guy on the right. One of his hands is on his hat. His other hand is resting pretty danged high on the thigh of that guy in the top hat.
Of course, those were different times and they were joking around and it probably didn’t mean anything and they appear to be drunk anyway. But if one of my pals went for the upper thigh, I’d feel uncomfortable and tell him to cut it out. That’s what I always tell Phil Fountain.
