The staff of aNewsCafe.com did not meet at our house today.
We gathered over coffee cake to pass around ideas and comments, but we didn’t meet. We got our fill of meetings in prior corporate careers, so our brainstorming sessions are like parties.
I’m sure important decisions are made at these, um, events, but I’m usually unaware of them because I’m too busy laughing until beverages spurt out my nose.
One condition of today’s non-meeting was that the National Football League playoffs could be on the TV (muted) if the I-said-it-ain’t-no-damned-meeting was not concluded in time for kickoff. I’m happy to say that this went off without a hitch. Lotta football to consume today and Sunday. Someone may have to pry me off the couch with a putty knife.
Actually, I plan to willingly give up some of today’s football action so I can make it to ArtHop. We want to see our pals Still Married play music over at Backyard Destinations, as well as take in the art at several other locations. We’ll probably run into you somewhere. I’ll be the one with the spurting nose.
