Wowza! Christy Lochrie writes again
… but not for the RS

Credit today’s Food for Thought forums for bringing us this Chico News & Review story about Area 51  by Christy Lochrie. Dig a little deeper and you’ll notice she also wrote another piece for the same Chico paper about the protesters at Joshua Munns’ funeral.

I called the Record Searchlight a few minutes ago and spoke with its always lovely receptionist (I mean that sincerely). I asked if Christy Lochrie still worked for the RS. The receptionist said she’s not received official word.

Classic for the current management. Treat employees like you’d grow a mushroom: keep them in the dark and feed them shit.

I asked to be transferred to Lochrie’s phone. I was put through and heard an automated recording (not Christy’s voice). It said that extension was not accepting calls because the mailbox was full.

Of course it is.

Perhaps you recall Lochrie, last known as the RS Currents reporter, and the memorable court hearing that involved Lochrie and Beth Norby, a local blogger. This followed my first post about this very bizarre subject that had precedent-setting legal potential.

After the hearing Lochrie said she was on a leave of absence from the RS.

Her byline has been MIA in the RS ever since.

However, no surprise, her blog remains on Redding.com, with a final post  written on Jan. 25.

Weird.

Again, no surprise.
