1 dozen January days bring big numbers

I’ve never been much of a numbers gal, but even I’m stunned and amazed at the stats your participation and visits have brought Food for Thought.

For a little perspective, since Food for Thought’s November birth, you’ve left more than 1,100 comments on more than 90 posts (opinion columns, food stories, Q&As, blogs, guest speaker and village voice pieces).

In the last 12 days, you’ve graced FFT with more than 60,000 pages views, and more than a quarter million hits.

What we’ve got ourselves here is a wild-fire, enthusiastic grass-roots response to our community-minded, interactive e-village. And it’s growing every day.

Thanks to you.

Thank you for coming. Thank you for telling your friends. (I can’t tell you how thrilled I am when I hear from a former RS reader, like Jackie S., who found me through some friends, and now she’s telling her friends, and they’re telling their friends about FFT.)

Thank you for your support and your encouragement. Thank you for your comments, and proving that it’s possible to not always see everything eye to eye, but we can do so in such a civil, smart and respectful way.

I feel proud and humbled to be part of such a wonderful We site family.

I can’t wait to see what awaits us for the rest of January, February and beyond.
