The Redding Performing Arts Society will present a Sunday afternoon concert of solo and ensemble music featuring outstanding student performers from the Butte County branch of Music Teachers’ Association of California, assisted by pianist Dr. Robert Bowman. The concert takes place Sunday, December 11, 4 pm, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 2150 Benton Dr. in Redding and is open to the public. The concert is free, and donations are welcome.
Performers include pianists Diego Bustamante, Oliver Moore, Devin Cheng, Alexandra Reale, and Margaret Tong; violinists Elisa Laraway, McKenna Reale, Amanda Culbreath, and David Cheng; and soprano Gina Mitchell performing works by J.S. Bach, Schubert, Mozart, Brahms, Vitali, Scarlatti, Grieg, Dvorak, Bartok, Chopin, Tomas Svoboda, and Rags by Arthur Schutt and Eubie Blake.
Most of the performers come from Butte County; however, Elisa Laraway is well known to Redding audiences, and Margaret Tong comes from Orinda. Don’t miss this wonderful Sunday afternoon of music with these very talented young musicians.
