LOCATION CHANGE: To keep everyone warm and dry, the festival has been moved indoors at the Atrium, located on 1670 Market St., on the Placer side of the Downtown Promenade.
This year’s theme is “PRIDE Unites Us!” NorCal OUTreach Project wants to show Redding, California that a proud LGBTQ+ community lives here and is actively supported by friends, family, and allies. Festivities include vendors, food, performances, speakers, music, dancing, and more! The family friendly festival is fun for all ages!
The event will kick off with a Pride March October 15 from 12pm-1pm. Meet at the north end of the Downtown Promenade, and show your pride by bringing flags, signs, banners, and being colorful! The march will disperse into the Pride festival in Library Park in Downtown Redding from 1pm-5pm.
The event includes a full schedule of entertainment, with performances by DJ Becca, Formation Dance, Old Kennett String Band, John Tre Vestal, Dick Sorensen, The Wicked Wahines, and a Drag Show Finale! The event will be emceed by a local, award winning drag performer, Mercedes St. James.
Admission is a $5 suggested donation. All funds raised will help to continue the mission to make rural northern California a safer and more accepting place for all by increasing understanding, acknowledgement, visibility and appreciation of the LGBTQ+ community, and help get one step closer to opening a LGBTQ+ community center.
