Turtle Bay Exploration Park is accepting donations throughout the holiday season and, in return, offering $2 off admission to guests. In the spirit of the season of giving, Turtle Bay is collecting new or unexpired canned or dry foods, toys, warm gloves (not knitted), socks, sleeping bags, and blankets to be donated to local non-profit People of Progress. Guests who donate an item between now and December 31 will receive $2 off admission.
One $2 discount per donated item per person only. Items must be new, unopened and unexpired. Offer good December 1 – December 31 and cannot be combined with any other offer.
About People of Progress
People of Progress provides a food bank, resource center, community gardens and orchard, super-sized thrift store, and information resources. People of Progress is a nonprofit 501c3 serving Shasta County since 1973. Their mission is to strengthen individuals, families and the community with particular emphasis on issues affecting low-income persons. People of Progress is unique to Shasta County and can make timely decisions to respond to emerging needs. All donations remain local.
