Don’t let today’s rain stop you from visiting the Frugalista Flea Market. Things are nice and dry inside the Cypress Elementary gym (across from City Hall), and there’s still lots of refreshments and merchandise at great prices.
Kelly and Doni and Bruce and Linda and others from the ANewsCafe family were all down there, so say hi as you shop.
My pal Frank and I swung through this morning, snarfing up books and a couple of cool shirts. We waited until after the initial rush, which apparently was really busy. Somebody bought all my vinyl LPs already, but there were still tons of clothes and books and household items.
We saw cartoonist Benita Epstein and other familiar faces among the shoppers while we were there.
After the flea market, Frank and I fortified ourselves with French toast and eggs at Country Waffles. Now it’s more Scrabble. I’m leading 7 games to 4, but Frank’s been making a comeback the last few games. Must go snuff out all his hopes and dreams.
