Former first lady Laura Bush will speak at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at the Redding Civic Auditorium. Author of the best-selling memoir, “Spoken from the Heart,” Mrs. Bush also founded the Texas Book Festival and the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C. Today, as chair of the Women’s Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute, Mrs. Bush continues her work on global healthcare innovations, empowering women in emerging democracies, education reform, and supporting the men and women who have served in America’s military. Tickets start at $55 and can be purchased through the Civic Auditorium. The event is presented by Simpson University and the Redding Civic Auditorium.
