I did finally receive my copy of the local paper, so it’s a two-crossword day at my house. Woo-hoo. Thanks to all of you who pointed out I could get crossword puzzles online and in collections; I even own a handheld crossword game that’s pretty cool. But it is my lifelong quest to solve crosswords as I encounter them, on paper, in ink, because I have a superiority complex.

  • They Fired All the Copy Editors, Part V: In today’s local paper, in the jazzy new “This Weekend Downtown” section’s item on Bombay’s, we find the following — “Local rock bang Madside performs Friday and Saturday.” Insert your own groupie joke here.
  • Speaking of live music, I see that Clear Cut is playing tonight at Vintner’s Cellar downtown. Look for more music at aNewsCafe.com’s new, improved Events page.
