Redding Police Foil Duo’s Attempted Enduro Theft

Billie Jo Patterson

On Thursday morning, August 11th, at 1:45 a.m., Officer Rusty Bishop observed two male adults pushing a motorcycle on Market Street near Trinity Street. When he stopped to investigate, both men fled, leaving the motorcycle abandoned.

The two men were quickly located and detained. Neither of the men were the registered owner of the motorcycle.

The investigation revealed the motorcycle was registered to a nearby Redding resident. Other officers went to the registered owners’ home and awoke him. The owner confirmed his motorcycle had been stolen from his residence, but he had not yet realized the theft. The motorcycle, a 2006 Suzuki enduro style, was returned to the owner.

Christopher Randal Hall

The pair of men were arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle. They were identified as Billie Jo Patterson, 22, of Anderson, and Christopher Randal Hall, 26, of Redding.
