Doni Greenberg & Jake Carver disco, Dancing with the Stars: Shasta County Style

Seriously, I literally cannot bring myself to watch this entire disco. I’ve yet to make it all the way to the end without turning away or turning to a bowl of ice cream for comfort. I must be strong. After all, the other dancers were good sports about first having their waltzes played here. And now, with the exception of Chita Johnson and Logan Grimes, the rest of the Dancing with the Stars Shasta County Style performers’ discos have appeared on this site, in this order: Kurt Starman and Sarah Leavers, Tracy Edwards and Matt ArmstrongDon Burton and Julie Correia, Les Baugh and Kathy Babcock, and today, Doni Greenberg and Jake Carver.

All I can say is that if you do watch me disco, please remember this: I am NOT a professional dancer. Plus, bear in mind that we trained when it was hot and smoky outside. Oh, and also, my feet hurt. And Bruce and I were evacuating our belongings because of fire, so that was distracting.

Most important, do pity Jake Carver, my patient partner who caved in to my multiple requests for special learning aids, such as video-taped sessions, written instructions, counted-out steps and even extra practices. To no avail.

However, God bless Jake, because through it all, he never let on that he knew I couldn’t dance. He never acted disappointed that his partner was older than his mother. He never pouted because he drew the short straw and landed Doni Greenberg as a partner, instead of Chita Johnson.

Speaking of Chita Johnson, her video will be the next one up. This is the moment many of you have been waiting for (and searching our site for), and with good reason. While all the dancers were incredible, Chita and Logan’s disco inspired a guy in the balcony to yell Chita’s name. (No, not my husband, or my sons, but they probably wanted to.)

Watching Chita and Logan’s disco is the perfect way to wrap up these dozen days of Dancing with the Stars Shasta County Style, our attempt to bring some fun and levity to our current stressful times.

Chita and Logan’s disco is so clever, and so sexy and so well-executed. Heck, don’t watch my video. Save your strength for Chita and Logan’s.

Do what you want. I’m going into town for more ice cream.
