VICTIM: State of California/ California Highway Patrol
LOCATION: Central Ave. and Pensacola Street, City of Shasta Lake.
NARRATIVE: On 12-6-2010, at 1910 hours, Sheriff’s Deputies from the City of Shasta Lake responded to the area of Pensacola Ave. in Shasta Lake to assist California Highway Patrol helicopter H-16 who reported being hit several times with a green laser as it flew over the city.
Pilots advised City ground units of the origin of the laser and were able to direct Sergeant Clegg to the location of the responsibles. Deputies found the listed responsibles in possession of a laser and several flashlights in the area of Pensacola Street and Central Ave. Due to the inherent danger to the pilots, both Foster and the juvenile were booked for pointing a laser at an occupied aircraft.
