Lee and Judy Salter

Judy Salter is highly involved in the north-state community. Highlights include: Former CEO of Turtle Bay Exploration Park, as well as key involvement in Rotary Club of Redding, Shasta Women’s Refuge, the League of Women Voters,  the Shasta Early Literacy Council board, the Shasta Library Foundation, Lassen Park Foundation, the Women’s Fund, the Shasta Regional Community Foundation and the American Association of University Women.

Lee Salter, a former attorney, is the McConnell Foundation’s recently retired long-time CEO. (Click here for ANC’s story about his retirement by reporter Candace Brown.) The McConnell Foundation has been heavily involved in funding for Redding School of the Arts, Shasta Community Health Center, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Healthy Shasta, recreational trails in the greater Redding area, Hill Country Health and Wellness Center, the Weed Community Center, as well as the Fourth of July Freedom Festival fireworks each year, among other investments. They also help fund the Shasta Community Regional Foundation, which helps nonprofits become better through grants.
