During the June 6, 2024, meeting of the Shasta County Board of Supervisors, the Board voted unanimously to appoint a screening panel to review applications before the interview stage of the recruitment process. This panel will consist of Board Chair Kevin Crye, District 2 Supervisor Tim Garman, and Director of Support Services Monica Fugitt. The screening panel will assess the applications, and a unanimous decision among the three panelists will be required to eliminate any applicant from public interview process before the whole Board.
Additionally, the Board voted unanimously to reschedule the upcoming Board of Supervisors meeting from Tuesday, June 18 to Monday, June 17, 2024. This change will allow the public interview process to proceed without interruption from June 18-19, 2024.
