The members of the Committee to Recall Kevin Crye are humbled by the volunteers and thousands of Shasta County Supervisorial District 1 voters taking this step to restore responsible and stable governance we all deserve for our families and ourselves.

The committee delivered approximately 5,000 recall petition signatures to the Shasta County Registrar’s Office at 9:30 AM Tuesday September 12, 2023.
The Registrar’s Office now has 30 business days to verify and certify the submitted petitions and signatures to qualify the recall of County Supervisor Kevin Crye for the ballot.

If the minimum number of 4151 signatures are verified and certified, the Board of Supervisors, or County Registrar, have the responsibility to schedule when the recall will appear on the ballot. We anticipate the recall to be part of the March 5th, 2024 election.
Our politically diverse volunteers and petition signers should be proud. We all stepped forward to address Supervisor Crye’s betrayal, failed leadership, and damage to our community. We have shown that actively participating in local government, and following the law, we can make a positive impact with our community.

With the submission of the petitions completed, we are confident and planning for the election. We will have upcoming events, rallies, and town halls that will be advertised on our website and social media. We will keep voters informed on the signature certification status and other developments as they occur.
These are challenging times that require our community to collaborate and communicate to restore trust in the Shasta County Board of Supervisors.
