Cathy Darling Allen, Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters announces that local redistricting efforts are underway in Shasta County.
The first meeting of the Shasta County Citizens Redistricting Advisory Commission is scheduled for May 27, 2021 from 1:30p.m. – 3:30p.m. at the Shasta County Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 1450 Court Street, Suite 263 in Redding, CA. We have a sincere desire to hear from the public regarding the process of equalizing the population in each of the County’s Supervisorial Districts.
Public comment is encouraged at any meeting or can be submitted by online at ShastaVotes.org or by email to: elections@co.shasta.ca.us.
Additionally, Shasta County residents who believe they live in a Community of Interest are strongly encouraged to complete the online communities of interest form or the attached information and submit it for consideration to the Commission.
The second Citizens Redistricting Advisory Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers. Future meeting dates, locations and times will be available in June 2021.
