CURRENT SITUATION
• We had 21 cases Sunday and Monday,
including 9 men and 12 women:
– 1 child under age 13
– 3 teenagers
– 5 people in their 20s
– 3 people in their 30s
– 1 person in their 40s
– 3 people in their 50s
– 2 people in their 60s
– 2 people in their 70s
– 1 person in their 80s

• We are sorry to report two deaths today. They were a man in his 70s and a man in his
80s.

• Shasta County remains in the red tier, and our case rate and positivity rate both dropped this week. Our adjusted case rate dropped from 5.9 to 5.0 daily cases per 100,000 residents. The unadjusted case rate is 5.1. Our positivity rate decreased from 2.5% to 2.0%. Let’s keep our numbers moving down! Please continue to use all the tools available to us – wear your mask in public, keep your distance, get tested regularly and get vaccinated when it’s your turn.
