• In recent weeks, testing volume has decreased in Shasta County and throughout the state and
country. Our case numbers are declining and more people are being vaccinated, which are big steps in the right direction. However, testing is still very important, as it helps us quickly identify and isolate new cases so they don’t spread COVID to others. Identifying new cases also helps us monitor for mutations in the virus. People who are fully vaccinated should still get tested regularly, including after they are exposed to a person who tested positive. Testing is free and available by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Learn more at www.ShastaReady.org – click on “Get tested.”
