• A simple piece of fabric makes a big statement: I care. Even without symptoms, you can spread COVID-19. Cloth face coverings keep respiratory droplets contained when you speak, sneeze or cough. We can all do our part by wearing a mask and slowing the spread. If we keep our case numbers low, we will stay off the state’s monitoring list, which will allow us to keep our schools and businesses open.

• Healthcare providers: Please do your part as leaders in our community to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep yourselves, your staff and your patients safe. Please practice and promote the 3 Ws: Wear a mask/face covering, watch your distance and avoid gatherings, and wash your hands. Public Health and the North Valley Medical Association have released a joint statement about the importance of these practices here.

• Anyone can be tested for COVID-19. Go to ShastaReady.org and click on “Get tested.”
