Current Situation:

• Shasta County has 2 new positive cases today, both of whom have symptoms. The first is a man in his 50s who is hospitalized. The other is a boy under 13, who was one of three people so far who have tested positive after attending a graduation party.

• Shasta County’s COVID Alert Level has increased to Level 3, High Risk. The level increased due to the high number of cases in the past 14 days. Residents are encouraged to limit their activities, as well as using the standard precautions: Wearing face coverings in public, maintaining physical distancing and staying home when sick. • The county has created new guidance for in-person circulation of protest petitions and signature gathering in public places. It’s available at www.ShastaReady.org – click on “Roadmap to Recovery,” then “What can open now?”

• Sometimes people need to show a negative test for COVID-19 before they travel, have
surgery or return to work after being sick. These tests can be done at Shasta College by
going to https://lhi.care/covidtesting. Appointments are required.
