Fireworks Show to Proceed without the Freedom Festival at the Redding Civic Auditorium

The fireworks show will take place as usual at 10pm on Saturday, July 4th. The soundtrack for the show will be simulcast on two local stations beginning at 10pm. Q97 (97.3 “Today’s Country”) and Red 103.1 (103.1 “Redding’s Classic Rock”) will broadcast coordinated music to help the community enjoy the show from safe, alternative locations.

The Freedom Festival has been canceled in compliance with current state and local guidelines to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Access to the Redding Civic Auditorium grounds will be closed all day July 4th and there will be traffic control methods in place. Parking will be available for visitors to Turtle Bay and Sheraton Hotel guests only.

Residents are encouraged to find safe, socially distanced locations to enjoy the show this year. Please be sure to avoid any crowded areas and follow all state and local health and safety guidelines.
