Current Situation:
• Shasta County has 1 new positive cases today, a woman in her 20s who has symptoms. Her case is connected to the recently reported family gathering. She is not hospitalized.
• In March, the state entered a shut-down to prevent the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19, which hurt our economy, especially small businesses. Most of those restrictions have been relaxed, but the virus continues to spread in our community, so we need to slow it down in other ways. Here are some simple ways to do your part to keep people safe and keep our small businesses open:
o Wear a face covering as directed by the new state order
o Maintaining social distancing
o Stay home when sick
• Anyone can be tested for COVID-19. If you have symptoms, contact your healthcare provider or call (530) 225-5591. People with or without symptoms can sign up for testing at Shasta College by going to https://lhi.care/covidtesting. Appointments are required.
