• Shasta County has 1 new positive case. The patient is a girl under 13 who had symptoms and is isolated at home.

• For the first few months of this pandemic, prevention efforts were largely driven by public health through the statewide shut-down. Our economy is reopening now, which shifts the responsibility for protecting the public health to our whole community. Wearing face coverings in public, practicing social distancing, washing hands frequently and avoiding travel are some of the ways we can all help protect our vulnerable neighbors and slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

• Now that people are spending more time in public, we encourage everyone to get tested for COVID-19.
