On June 9, 2020, at approximately 0430 hours, a Deputy Coroner Investigator was dispatched to Shasta Regional Medical Center regarding the death of an adult male following an incident that occurred at the Americana Modern Hotel located at 1214 Market Street in Redding, California. The subject was pronounced deceased at the hospital by emergency personnel.
The decedent was positively identified as 37 year old Morgan James Davis of Cottonwood, California. The decedent’s next-of-kin has been notified and a postmortem examination will be scheduled. The case remains under investigation by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.
