1 non-Shasta County resident

Current Situation:

• Shasta County has 1 new positive case.

• We are still in Stage 2. The patient is a man in his 60s who is isolated at home.

• Our hospitalization statistics have historically represented Shasta County residents only, but because hospitalized patients from other counties impact our healthcare system, we will begin sharing the number of people from other counties who are hospitalized with COVID-19 in Shasta County. This should also eliminate inconsistency with the state’s database, https://covid19.ca.gov/roadmap-counties/#track-data, which reports on county-specific data.

• Political protests are constitutionally protected activities, and the state has issued guidance for engaging in protests in a safe manner. That guidance is available here: https://covid19.ca.gov/stay-home-except-for-essential-needs/#top.
