Current Situation:

• Shasta County has no new positive cases.

• We are still in Stage 2. The state will soon post guidance on how to move into Stage 3.

• Employers are encouraged to have safe and healthy environments for employees and patrons by observing state guidance for reopening, such as use of cloth face coverings and regular employee COVID-19 testing. As more businesses open, there’s more risk for staff and customers.

• Anyone can get tested for COVID-19. If you have symptoms, contact your healthcare provider or call Shasta County Public Health at (530) 225-5591. If you don’t have symptoms, go to https://lhi.care/covidtesting. Appointments are required.

• Please remember that non-essential travel is prohibited. Gatherings are still not allowed in California, except in places of worship and for the purposes of protest, with modifications.

• Feelings of stress and worry are a normal part of living through an infectious disease pandemic, like COVID-19. In addition to taking steps to stay physically healthy, it is important to take care of our mental health. Find tools and resources for managing your mental wellness by going to www.ShastaReady.org and clicking on “Taking Care of Yourself,” calling 211 or visiting www.211norcal.org.
