• Shasta County has no new positive cases today.

• Shasta County’s health officer is working on completing the self-certification required by the state, documenting how we meet the readiness criteria necessary for full implementation of Governor Newsom’s phase 2 of California’s reopening.

• As businesses prepare to re-open, we have created some tools to help them build a plan to ensure their facilities are safe for staff and customers. This toolkit on www.ShastaReady.org includes guidance for building a reopening plan, a checklist and printable flyers that inform customers that the facility is practicing physical distancing.

• Testing options (all by appointment only):
o Healthcare workers and other essential workers with no symptoms: Visit https://lhi.care/covidtesting to make an appointment for this new walk-up testing option. Appointments are available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday at Shasta College.
o Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms: Contact your healthcare provider for testing, or call Shasta County Public Health at (530) 225-5591 to be screened and scheduled for a mobile testing appointment.
