What: Shasta County Democrats Organizational Caucus

When: Monday April 13, 2020 6-8 pm

Where: 900 Locust Street  Redding, CA 96001

All Shasta County Democrats are welcome to caucus to elect a new Democratic Central Committee of Shasta County. A new Central Committee is seated every four years, following the Presidential Primary Election.

The Democratic Central Committee of Shasta County (DCCSC) is a locally controlled affiliate of the California Democratic Party, composed of General Members, Ex-Officio Members, Alternate Members, and Associate Members.  The Caucus will be held on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 6 pm at the IBEW Hall at 900 Locust St., Redding.

General Members will be elected to fill positions in the following districts:

Supervisor District 1: 4 seats

Supervisor District 2: 3 seats

Supervisor District 3: 3 seats

Supervisor District 4: 4 seats

Supervisor District 5: 4 seats

Once seated, the General Members will elect officers to serve in the coming 4-year term.

The Democratic Party in Shasta County is committed to increasing voter participation, giving a voice to working families, and bringing progressive change to the community.  If you are interested in becoming involved, and are a registered Democrat, please join us. This caucus is an exercise in local democracy, and we encourage all Democrats to participate.
