Hello clever Robert. I saw Abominable and found it extremely silly in many parts but overall charming. The main character was a delight. Her withdrawal from family, friends and school activities, following the death of her father and her secret commitment to earn money to fulfill her father’s dream of taking a special family vacation was endearing. Her inability to fully engage with her mother and grandmother during this time was realistic. Her alone time with her music was both sad and happy. The transformation of the evil wealthy entrepreneur, who had been seeking fame and redemption, was formulaic but welcome and refreshing. I enjoyed the movie and so did my daughter.
