Longtime ANC supporter and reader Beverly Stafford donated this sweet little whisk broom from broom corn and colorful string, adorned with a Phoenix charm. It was made in an 1860-era broom-making machine.
It was created by Claudette Greene who, with her husband Greg Greene, manufacture Hawken rifles in Oak Harbor, Washington, and have a rendezvous company, the Outpost, which sponsors such 1800-era events as campfire cooking, ax-throwing and shooting competitions.
