Karen Field moved to Redding with her family shortly after she graduated high school. She has called Shasta County “home” for more than 50 years, and has been crocheting for even longer. Her Aunt Ruth taught her to crochet when Karen was about 10 years old, and she’s rarely been without a crochet hook in her hand since then. Karen is happiest with at least one project underway, and several more planned out.
As a world traveler who’s seen all seven continents, Karen still believes there is no place more lovely than the north state, and she is proud to be part of this community.
She wanted to contribute to this auction to help support the extended network of neighbors and friends who were directly impacted by the fires.
