Benefit Concert for Ellie Rose Lundberg

When: Saturday January 11th at 4pm

Where: First United Methodist Church   1825 East ST.   Redding, Ca 96001

Event Description:  The community is invited to a special benefit concert for flutist Ellie Rose Lundberg. Ellie is in her senior year at University Of the Pacific and will receive her Bachelor of Music in Performance in May of 2020. She plans to pursue graduate studies and a career as a professional flutist and teacher.

In high school, Ms. Rose won the Shasta College Concerto Competition as well as the North State Symphony Young Artist Competition and performed with both symphonies in her junior year. She won a full-ride scholarship to be a part of the California Youth Symphony and toured Austria and Italy with them, presenting such works as Stravinsky’s “Firebird” and Hindemith’s “Symphonic Metamorphosis.” Since then she has performed in a wide variety of places, ranging from a chamber concert at a winery to an impromptu solo recital in the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument in Wyoming. Rose performs constantly at University of the Pacific, whether it be in a solo, chamber, or orchestral setting.

Ellie Rose is in her fourth and final year at the University of the Pacific, studying Flute Performance with Mathew Krejci. She plans to pursue graduate studies and a career as a professional flutist and teacher.

A free will donation will be taken with all proceeds going towards the purchase of a new flute for Ellie’s graduate studies.

Redding can add one more local star to its constellation, Ellie Rose is one sweet individual, not to mention her dedicated talents. I knew she was something to behold when she was part of the Redding Methodist Church Youth Group, thanks to Peggy Rebol’s inspirational mentoring.
