Civic Engagement Opportunity for Students

The Shasta College Civic Expo provides Communications Studies students an opportunity to interact with members of the Shasta College community in civic discourse on a pre-selected topic. The topic for this semester is Culture and Communication. The event will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019, in the Student Center (cafeteria) on the main Redding Campus from 9:00 a.m.-1 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

There will be 55+ interactive booths designed by Communication Studies students about the relationship between cultures and communication. Students will be on hand as active participants to discuss their topic and talk about these important issues. Other students, staff, and faculty will be evaluating the Communications Studies students on their presentations and interactions.
