Whiskeytown National Recreation Area would like to request the assistance of the local community in identifying two female suspects involved in two separate thefts that occurred in July at Whiskeytown. Victims reported they had several items stolen from their vehicles. Through our investigation, surveillance cameras show two women making fraudulent transactions at several businesses in Redding. It is unknown at this time if there are other accomplices.
The vehicle used by the two female suspects was a gold 2000 Chrysler Concorde with California License Plate 4NLJ100. It is believed by the investigating officers that at least one of the females lives in Butte County, but we are asking for the assistance of the public in Shasta, Tehama, and Butte Counties to help identify these suspects or provide information of the whereabouts of this vehicle. Anyone with information about these suspects, or the vehicle break-in, is encouraged to call the investigating Officer, Nicholas Henke at (530) 242-3468. Any information provided is greatly appreciated and callers can remain anonymous if desired, although a callback number is very helpful if we need additional information or clarification.
The National Park Service encourages all park visitors to always lock your vehicle, take any valuables with you when away from your vehicle or campsite, and report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 911 or Whiskeytown Dispatch at (530) 242-3431.
