A public hearing to consider the River Crossing Marketplace Final Environmental
Impact Report (FEIR) was scheduled for the City Council meeting last Tuesday,
August 6, 2019, and at the request of Costco Wholesale, the hearing was continued
to August 20, 2019. After receiving additional public input, Costco Wholesale has
now requested that City staff take additional time to address the concerns presented.

At the City Council meeting on August 20, staff will recommend that the City
Council close the public hearing and take no further action. Costco recognizes the
process may take six months or more to address the additional remarks and also
comply with legal requirements under the California Environmental Quality Act by
recirculating portions of the project’s Draft EIR. When that process is completed,
the project will have to be considered by the Planning Commission before returning
to the Council for consideration in early 2020.
