    I’m curious where you took the picture. I don’t recall ever seeing a badger in Shasta County—closest is Modoc. Maybe now that California ground squirrels are making a comeback in Shasta County, badgers will become more common.

      Steve, The photo was taken in the Lower Klamath NWR, Ca. I have seen badgers along the foothills of western Glenn and Tehama Counties, but none in Shasta County.
