EVENT DESCRIPTION: Earth to Sea Summer Art-Science Camp
Earth to Sea Summer Art-Science Camp is a 2 week camp for students in PreK-K (4-5yrs only) through 6th grade (12 yrs) that will provide high-quality science and art activities in a fun environment.
The purpose of this camp is to engage kids in meaningful, hand’s-on activities across the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics that are included in STEAM curriculum. These activities are designed to develop creative thinking skills, their curiosity about the world, and their sense of wonder about the environment.
The 1st – 6th grade students will explore a variety of subjects including: Pendulum Painting, Collage, Paper Mache, Wind and Solar energy, Non-Newtonian Fluids, and Biodiversity. Both science and art classes are taught by experienced, credentialed teachers.
PreK-K Students: This special self-contained session is designed for older 4 your-old and 5 year-olds who love exploring new and exciting concepts about our world. We will take a journey into the unknown, where children will get the opportunity to understand our various environments and habitats related to our big blue planet. Children will have the opportunity to think outside the box about creating a new species of animal, try new “Kitchen Sink” experiments, solar energy, and self exploring art projects. Your child will develop a new understanding of how our environments play a huge role and how it impacts the many species of animals on our planet.
WHEN: 2 week session, Monday – Friday June 17 – 28 8am to 12:30pm daily with Special Evening Program on June 28th from 6:30 – 7:30pm showcasing their projects
