Redding’s long awaited direct flight to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is scheduled to begin Friday. The first incoming flight is scheduled to land at Redding Municipal Airport Friday evening at 9:25 p.m. The outgoing sold-out flight is scheduled to take off Saturday, March 9th at 6:35 a.m. Fire Station 7 will perform a “Water Salute” as the aircraft departs the ramp in celebration of this much anticipated air service.
The Canadair Regional Jet CRJ-200 will operate seven days a week, with connections available to destinations nationwide, as well as international connections. The culmination of five years of work is finally coming to fruition this weekend, opening up new opportunities for growth in the tourism and business industries for our region.
