City of Redding and Shasta County residents clearing their own property can self-haul storm debris (brush, limbs, branches, and trees up to 30 inches in diameter) to the City of Redding Transfer Station (2255 Abernathy Lane) and the Richard W. Curry West Central Landfill (14095 Clear Creek Road) free of charge through March 2, 2019, during normal operating hours. After March 2, storm debris material will still be accepted at both locations at normal disposal rates.

The Transfer Station operating hours are Monday-Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the Landfill operating hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Please note, both facilities will be closed Monday, February 18, 2019, in observance of President’s Day.

Tree stumps may be self-hauled to the Landfill but please note that the stumps need to be separate in your load as they will be unloaded in a different area.

Please ensure your load does not contain any trash or grass clippings.

Wheelabrator Shasta Energy Company, Inc. (20811 Industry Road, Anderson) is also accepting wood type storm debris material (no tree stumps) free of charge. For more information on the material they will and will not accept, please contact 339-7617.
