Live Music in the North State: December 5 – December 11

The North State Symphony will perform at the State Theatre in Red Bluff Saturday, December 8, and at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Redding on Sunday, December 9.

Happy trails to Eugene Rand, who is moving from Shasta County to Washington. Eugene has been a steadfast supporter of this column, and his encouragement has meant more than he knows during those “I really don’t feel like doing this” writing sessions. Thank you, Eugene. We’ve never met in person, but I’ll miss ya.

Born and raised in Ventura County, Hal Johnson moved to Shasta County in 1994. After a 38 year career flying helicopters, he can now sometimes be spotted around the North State singing and wrestling his guitar into submission. He always feels funny writing about himself in the third person. Contact him at shastalivemusic@gmail.com.
